Jittering in areas of animation

I just noticed something disturbing in the last animation I made with Vantage, as you can see in the video there are distorted areas in some parts of it. This isn’t happening through the whole animation only at certain points and only in certain areas of the whole image. Does anyone have any idea what this is and how to get rid of it?

Were you able to solve this? I have a similar problem.

No, your the first to respond.

I did this and it seems to be working:
Samples to 400 (I’m working in 4K)
Loght tree to 16 samples
noise threshold to 0.001

I posted a few hours ago something similar to your issue.

whats your typical frame times for your scene with these settings?

Are you using:
- Motion blur ?
- “Reduce flickering” ?
- Multiple GPUs ?

My original time was 30sec per frame. With this new settings changed to 90sec per frame.

Yes
yes
no

I was asking Devin

Devin, in case one of the answers is “Yes”, try disabling it to see if there will still be any distortion (I know it won’t be the desired render result, but to rule out possible causes).

Motion blur yes but I tried it without Reduce flickering & denoiser and there was no difference, my samples are set to 300 as well.

Can you send us a minimal scene that reproduces this issue ?

Vladimir Nedev

I can send you the whole project, do you want it?

Yes, but please include instructions what frame range to render and the options used.

Vladimir Nedev

How do I send it to you?

You can upload it somewhere and send the link to my e-mail (in my signature).
Or you can contact support through the support form on our site and they will give you further instructions.

Hi devin,

Can you please try to render the sequence(or at least the ranges where the jittering is happening) without motion blur enabled?

Best regards,
Alexander

Hi @devin
Were you able to resolve this issue?

No, it has something to do with motion blur but there’s no fix yet.
