leather 70s chair

week end stuff threw together just for fun. from reference photos, and old pieces of model that were just sitting there. dmc and vray’s camera dof, gi is on but only for the first bounce.

Perfetto, ragazzo !
;)))

Best regards,

just beautiful!

yep very realistic except the highlights AA.

Nice lighting!

nice. great materials and lighting. very realistic look.
i like the map in the background

cheers, glad you liked those. and grazie nikki, really appreciated
highlights are a problem, yes. I guess it could be avoided clamping the output and checking subpixel mapping, but I wanted full float editing on them. it’s a trade off, but in this case I’m not really bothered.
thanks again.

Bell lavoro rivoli!
Leather material is spot on

excelent job, what are you planning to do with the highlights?

clamping and subpixel mapping are an option, if I had to re-render them that is. I guess that might do the trick, another idea can be render at bigger resolutions and then downsize. this way you can keep the 32 bit output, and loose the aliased reflections.

Excellent work ! Perfect lightning

Is there a chance to see a wire ?

Stunning.

Yeah wire would be nice

thanks again, here’s a screengrab of the wire:

there’s not much to see actually. this shot has two vray lights windowlike, strongest one just in front of the chairs and the second one almost right behind them.

There is a bug in max viewport… note the viewport stats.

 yeah, you can’t trust them.

Best leather I’ve seen

great work

Tom

…that’s gorgeous…well done!..

Awesome!

great lighting / modeling / rendering!

Fantastic rendering. Can you give me any clues to how you got the leather material so good…Ive been trying to get my office chair leather material to look realistic, but the bump reflection never looks great.
