Okay, just found this. Helps a bit: The plugin is there and can be load, but there are plenty of errors. I’ll check if we have some maya.env settings…
A separate builds for Maya 2011 Subscription Advantage Pack will be available for download on our website soon.
For now:
During installation try to set the following paths:
For Maya root folder please use this folder:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya 2011 Subscription Advantage Pack
For V-Ray plugins destination folder please use this folder:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya 2011 Subscription Advantage Pack\vray\plug-ins
For V-Ray additional files please use this folder:
C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\Maya 2011 Subscription Advantage Pack for x64
Please note: install of V-Ray for Maya 2011 Subscription Advantage Pack will uninstall V-Ray for Maya 2011 if present.
Note:
If there are Maya environment variable set they should be changed.
For example: MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH, MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH, XBMLANGPATH
look for a ‘modules’ directory in your previous install. there should be a text document inside there that points to all the vray folders. then just modify that file with the new ‘Subscription Advantage’ path info, copy it to your new SAP install directory. here is what was in ours:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2011\modules
// Module file for Maya. Helps Maya find resources for VRayForMaya.
+ VRayForMaya2011x64 0.9 C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2011/vray
