Net Texture Mapping...?!?

Hello all,

So I am trying to model a inflatable bounce house and I am trying to figure out how to include the netting on the bounce house so that when I render it in Vray it would come out looking real good.

What I want to know is how I can get that kind of netting to be done in rhino vray without having to go to photshop and adding the net. I have tried mapping the texture in the diffuse section and it just never came out looking like a realistic net and the net wasnt transperant in the areas its suppose to be transperant. I am guessing that I am either doing something wrong or not using the right tools.

here are some links to check out to get a better understanding.

So if anyone can help, i would appriciate it.

p.s. How do I attach images here? I click on the attach image icon and I just get . ??!?

Re: Net Texture Mapping…?!?

I remember that I made a net material for a playground. Here is the link

Re: Net Texture Mapping…?!?

One more thing…If your mind telling me.

What steps do I have to take to get the best results..
So I make a new material > click on the diffuse section > then ??? what?

Im asking because I’m still having some trouble trying to get that white part to be transparent and the black strings to stay black.

note: Im working in Rhino3d using Vray to render.

Thanks
