New Laptop Recommendations

hi, I am looking for a new laptop to run Rhino/Autocad with Enscape (mainly interior design).

I am leaning towards these laptops -

1. Laptop HP 15.6" (AMD Ryzen 7-3700U/16GB/512GB SSD/Radeon RX Vega 10)DB1036NV

or

2. Asus VivoBook X512DA Laptop (Ryzen 5 3500U/16 GB/512 GB/Radeon Vega

  • Any thoughts on this configuration for Rhino and Enscape?

Any help is appreciated.

@cleopatra_paras , both of these machines seem to barely meet our system requirements. Definitely also make sure that the Radeon Vega which is built into either laptop has at least 2GB of VRAM which is required for Enscape to run at all. :slight_smile:

What device will you use for VR mode? if using Quest 2 and Oculus link, might give you trouble at first. Not sure about Radeon cards, but I bought a laptop with the latest generation of Nvidia RTX 30 series and apparently still doesn’t meet the minimum specs, which is BS… you can’t possibly buy anything better or faster than the RTX 30series.
