When I try to start GPU rendering in max 2022, whatever the complexity of the scene (just a box), GPU rendering does not happen. I just get an “Auto-start on file load not supported by V-Ray GPU” error.
I have 3x3090RTX.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance, and apologies if this has been discussed previously.
David
Hello @vyle-art
Can you try with my scene here
Make sure you are on the latest stable build, and Nvidia driver 471.11
If it still crashes, this might be a hardware issue ? this works on 2 NVlinked 3090s in my setup
Are you able to use Vray Benchmark?
For the first time you use Cuda/RTX rendering it will take a few minutes to compile the kernel before the rendering starts, this only happens once
Hi Muhammed, for some reasons everything is loading fine now. No idea what that was about. Thanks for the quick reply though. If it happens again I will try to replicate the specific situation in case it happens to other people.
Sometimes the GPU driver goes to this odd state, and needs a restart to work. Happens to me as well from time to time
Glad it is all working now
