After I stamped a walkway on my terrain, the grass extended through the walkway and my mulch in the flowerbed. How can I fix this?
Hi
Enscape does what it’s supposed to do—it renders what you’ve modeled and textured.
It’s quite obvious that underneath the sidewalk with the gravel texture lies a SketchUp surface with a grass texture. The same applies to your mulch bed.
So make sure your geometry and the textures you’ve applied are clean and organized. Be sure to avoid areas where multiple different flooring options are used at the same time. In your living room, you can’t have both hardwood floors and carpet at the same time—it’s an “either/or” situation.
Another possibility is: Especially when texturing grass, make sure you don’t accidentally apply this grass texture to the backface of any SketchUp face (like the sidewalk).
what do you mean by clean and organized? The walkway in the which was a terrain. How could I have done it differently?
Hi
…sorry—my English translation skills were probably misleading, and I didn’t mean to imply that your model is disorganized.
I don’t know what your model is like because I haven’t seen it. Instead, I wanted to address your question about how to fix it and explain the reasons behind the issue and suggest possible solutions.
The issue with the faulty backface texturing happens to me quite often too…
So - Have you made any progress with cleaning up your texturing?
No progress. How do I “clean it up”?
would it help if I send the model?
Yes, if that’s okay for you. I’d will take a look at it.
You’re also welcome to select only the relevant parts like your sidewalk and lawn, copy them, and “paste in places” them into a new, otherwise empty ShetchUp file, then send or post just that so much smaller part of the model as a new file.
I’m referring only to these model components/parts:
when I try to attach a sku file, it shows grey. How do I send my model?
thanks. I just sent it.
