Well I got one! “well maybe more :)” well a 3rd of one my 2 buddies and I all chipped in and bought a new PS3 console. After playing it and watching movies etc. I can honestly say it was well worth it. I know tons of you can’t justify the cost of a PS3 but luckily enough I was able to chip in for one. The funny part was when we opened the damn thing, we had way to many cooks in the kitchen and it was liking trying to peak in a peep hole in the girls locker room, and when hooking up all the cables it was funny we found our self looking at it trying to turn it on while the damn power cable wasn’t plugged in… “bunch of morons” yeah my job was the HDMI cable wasn’t my fault.
The next issue was wanting to play and not having charged controllers, hence why you see multi color USB to mini USB cables, the system ships with one cable and well the extra controllers with cables were $18.00 more than the ones we got. So we used our cell phone and storage drive cables. Once charged we have gotten up to 4 days off one charge, as long as you turn off the controller when you’re done. So some of the images show us playing while the controllers where charging “waiting is for girls”
Thats running at about $1-200 profit right now, and also you wont have a chance to get another for a good few months.
Stories of them going for $3k meant everyone flooded the market and fucked up, haha.
I’ll be getting one, but not for a long while. Plus theyre not out here yet.
Mainly for the mass living room tech that it is - speakers running with wifi, visuals and music through my tv, linux - so that means internet and whatever else, and it also happens to play some awfully pretty games.
It’s funny how all the stores have loads of games for the WII and PS3 - yet no one has the consoles and if they have - they’re sold out within minutes of being stocked.
Personally, I’m eyeballing the WII (thereby sacrificing graphics horsepower) and will wait to see what SONY has in store. It looks like loads of fun, gets people off their butts, and if Nintendo’s controller is anything like it’s old wireless Wavebird - then it’s superb quality.
So how good do the games look…compared to a 360 which I assume you have played. Gears of war for instance is pretty outstanding, and COD3 is also pretty sweet.
How do the games on PS3 look.. in your opinion.
Damn it.. i can see myself buying a PS3 and a Wii, I think the PS3 will be last bought tho due to price.
i dont think it would make a good renderfarm. Those processors have pretty slow cpu speeds, they just threw in alot of them so they could all do different functions.
TBH Resistance looks 100 time sbetter than COD3. But over all the games looks beautiful in Full HD 1080p … From the looks of it the games that will be coming out mid next year look even better so from what I have played thus far I love it.
We bought 4 of them total and well… Lets just say we kept 2 and sold the others with the games on the first day they were out… we did local pickup on them. TBH I did have my shotgun near buy when they cAme over to pick it up. I was taking no chances…
Profits were so huge off them, we paid nothing for ours and have a nice 60" LCD on order
