I often export .3ds models to Autocad and then to Revit and assign in the Revit visibility graphics under the linked cad tabs. However, Enscape renders the imported elements grey. Please see attached. Is there a workaround around this?
What are the Object Category material settings?
Also check the Phase Created and Phase Filter settings. If it’s in the Existing Phase and you have Show Previous and New, the graphic overrides make the existing to remain show/render as gray. Change the Phase Filter to Show Complete and that will fix it if that is the issue.
Hello,
By extension, maybe you have to watch what is your VV / VG for CAD link.
@halmatro there is a method for that but it is some tedious.
1-first in CAD you need to assign material to each layer with the differents parts of the models, ejem: trunk, leafs, etc.. with a differents materials
2- when you imported, revit show each layer like a material render in the material editor.
3- you can change each material for the ones wich you prefer.
Also in the new versions you can import the model fbx or obj into the custom asset creator this is more easy, faster and better.

elements grey shows because all objects have a unique layer wich appareance in revit is a render material with a number ejem:

Hi, yes I fixed it in manage => object styles => imported objects. It worked. Thank you all for your input.
