small architecture

Hi.
This is my first render with texture images. Project of small architecture in the village - dustbin. In some time I will post more images with lantern and bench. The main aim of that was to check how the bitmaps and displacement reacts in different envioromental light.

if someone will now how to change the shadow to more realistic i would be very thanksfull ( GI_omni light used )

Re: small architecture

The materials are good and realisty. But I think the lights are not as good as the materials.

Re: small architecture

Yeah I know, my knowladge about light is still very small  still so much to learn. If someone could tell me some tips how to improve my light it would be very helpfull. Thanks luchangliang for the coment

Re: small architecture

Lamper, try also one of my HDRI, since you want to see different lightning situations. Check my posts, to get the link for my map( HDRI), or maybe you have yours. I think will look great since it’s like a “product render” kind, just the product, without anything else to distract the eye..
Hope you get nice results, and don’t forget to show us too!
GOOD LUCK!

Re: small architecture

i have some simple question, how to post images here without redirecting to image shack ??

Re: small architecture

Can you post your scene for those studies, or explain how you did your lighting? Also, the wood and perforated metal materials would be nice :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: small architecture

I love the simplicity of the designs and the layouts with the raw look of the materials, awesome work!!

Would you care to share that timber material?

Re: small architecture

ok so the scene is the same in each model and for the lamp its here :

the siplicyty of all the light its that I have just used here the scenes from the v ray manual scenes  the final one is that with the caustic, i have tried also scene with texture material and maybe one more

the wood material i will upload in two days ( have it on different computer ) and the perforate metal is allready in the download section (not my work ) :stuck_out_tongue:

and thnks for all coments

Re: small architecture

Ah, thank you very much for the help. I’ve had trouble getting the perforated metal to scale correctly though. Any suggestions?

Re: small architecture

hey lamper i like your mini gallery here. i especially like yur lamp design.

Re: small architecture

not a problem tronik  Mhm to scale it right make vraylinked matterial useing as a bitmap in sketchap “mask only”. Although wholes wan’t be so big as in the bitmap ( don’t know why ) , but they will scale in the same proportions as your bitmap in sketchup.

to make perforated metal in object with smooth ages ( rounded ) check this link

nomerdona, thanks for the comment :-[

Re: small architecture

Thanks for the help again lamper : )
I still can’t get my rectangular lights to look the way yours do in your 4 renders, even using your scene, but I’ll get a hang of it I’m sure
