Strange render effect

Hi,

when rendering in real-time with Enscape in SketchUp, we’re dealing with a strange effect where we don’t know how to fix it.

We’ve already turned on pretty much every setting, the unwanted effect remains. The attached pictures will hopefully show you the problem:

The rendered lamps look normal (and correct) when you are very close to the objects.

But as soon as you move a little further away from the lamps, the renderings get what we call a white veil for lack of a better description.

Does anyone have any idea on which setting you could turn to avoid this disturbing effect?

Best regards,

Marc Scherer

Hey @CADensaege , this may be caused by an issue which has been present in a previous release, so could you please make sure that your Enscape is up to date?

You can refer to this short FAQ guide on how to update Enscape:

How can I make sure that my Enscape is up to date?

In case you’re actually already using our latest release, Enscape 2.4, it would be helpful to receive the project file for troubleshooting purposes if possible.

Do you have glass surrounding the light fixture? If you do, change the Refractive index to 1.52 -1.6. This is the IOR of clear glass. See if that helps.
