Veras integration

  • Veras is now part of V-Ray, enabling AI image generation, AI image post processing and video generation

  • Veras can be started from the V-Ray / AI submenu, the V-Ray toolbar, VFB toolbar and history context as well as from the Asset Editor

  • Sending viewport screenshots or renders for AI processing is supported

Cloud licensing

  • Chaos Cloud licensing is implemented. Migration from the License Server workflow is automatically performed by the installer

  • Changing the licensing method after installation is possible via the “Change V-Ray license settings” utility tool

  • Installing and managing the Chaos License Server is no longer necessary in the new Cloud licensing workflow. Active account licenses can be viewed in the http://my.chaos.com/licenses control panel

Improvements

  • Drag and drop of multiple image files directly in the Asset Editor and Node Editor graph is now possible

  • Node Editor: Toggling between Glossiness and Roughness in the V-Ray material now correctly updates the input labels of the material

  • Light Gen now uses auto-exposure for all classic Light Gen HDR scenarios. Note that the automatically calculated EV is translated to an editable camera EV value on application

  • Various AI Mood Match UI labels are updated for better clarity

  • An issue with downloading the Mood Match environment textures when a .lighset file is loaded, is resolved. The loading progress bar is improved.

  • The material Displacement attribute is no longer labeled as “legacy”

  • A “Utility” option no longer appears in the Texture Placement Type dropdown after setting a UVW Placement as a mapping source

  • An issue with the Gradient map’s preset dropdown is resolved

Integration

  • An option for disabling all AI features is added in the installer

  • The Rhino-side Vantage viewport shader configuration is optimized for better performance in large projects

  • The scene rendering export is optimized when there are missing Enscape assets

  • Bongo’s sun animation is now supported

  • Viewport rendering (both V-Ray and Vantage) implemented in Rhino 9 (WIP)

  • A crash caused by starting two Live Link connections at the same time is resolved
