Hey guys
I saw the youtube clip “Dust and Scratches Lens Effect – V-Ray Next for 3ds Max, update 2”
I believe that the VRayNext lens effects is a free plugin for nuke? - where can we download this plugin? thanks
You can get it here:
Best regards,
Vlado
…
Hi Vlado, can you, please, compile the plugin for Nuke 9?
There are V-Ray 3 builds here - https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/main#/vray4nuke/stable/20170726
Thanks for the link, though when I follow it - it’s empty there, the red line at the top just never completes… Can you, please, post the direct link to the zip or maybe attach it here? Thanks!
Can you write us at support@chaosgroup.com for that? When you do - please include a link to this topic.
any chances this can be compiled for nuke 12.1
We just compiled the lens effects plugin for Nuke 12.1 - you can get it from the usual place here: V-Ray Tools
I using it on NukeX 12.2 and it is a crash festival…, maybe there is some special instructions to install or certain configuration to avoid? Could you shed some light? even when it doesn’t crash the error or warnings to be ignored are constant…
There is a readme file inside the zip file for the installation. Just to make sure - are you installing the 12.2 version for the correct OS?
Can you give us a bit more info on the crashes - are you using Win or Linux, does it crash on a simple scene with just a few nodes?
Can you show us the log or the error messages that show up?
Cheers!
I am using it on nuke 12.2 extensively and have had no crashes.
Windows.
Hello Chaos,
Any chance for the VRay Lens Effect and VRay Denoiser plugins to be re-compiled for Nuke 14? Thanks a bunch!
Ju
Hey, thanks for the nudge. We’re discussing this internally.
I’ll post here when there’s an update.
We’ve updated the lens effects and denoiser plugins and they’re now compatible with Nuke 14.
You can download them from the usual place: V-Ray Tools
Hello, confirming Lens Effects and VRayDenoiser latest releases for Nuke 14.0 aren’t working for 14.1 on Windows (as expected for a point release change). On creation, VRayDenoiser.dll: “The specified procedure could not be found.” Is there an estimate when these will be updated again (also for Nuke 15)? Thanks,
Jens
We’ll see to it, although I can’t share any ETAs right now.
How urgent is this for you? We may be able to look into it in January, will this be OK?
Yes, coming soon. We’ve built them internally for 14.1 and 15 and we’re currently running some tests to verify everything is in order.
Once we’ve made sure all is good - I’ll post an update here.
Alright, we’ve uploaded the builds for 14.1 and 15.0 at the usual location. Let us know if all is good, our tests didn’t uncover anything our of the ordinary.
