Nope, but the CD had a snapshot of the current manual. Since this is about 200 MB, it will probably not go into the V-Ray installation itself but will be available separately.
Best regards,
Vlado

Thats taunting me - like waving a sticky bun infront of a starving man…
Hey Vlado,
Cool! Vray 1.5 looks great! Nice packaging and your booth at SIGGRAPH looked cool too! Great job!
Oh my god… I think I’m going to pass out…
Dear Vlado,
I appologize if the answer is elswhere, but, is there any timeframe for when the rest of us (who could not be at SIGGRAPH) might receive the 1.5 package? Thanks, JR
Sorry about the hi-jack Esteban ![]()
The build will be on the site sometime next week, maybe even sooner. We will begin shipping the dongles shortly after we return from the US, which should be sometime next week too.
Best regards,
Vlado
Thank you
Thank you for the quick answer, and great news! ![]()
Best wishes,
JR
And so it happens that the vray 1.5 availability passes unnoticed
beginning of page two too, lol!

Ya, right! I’m sure there will be little if no traffic here next week! Who wants Vray 1.5 anyway?!
..then can we start asking for the 64bit standalone?
I will be happy if standrad 1.5 version is 64 bits ready.
The V-Ray build for 3dsmax 9 has both 32 and 64-bit versions and will be available as soon as 3dsmax 9 is released.
Best regards,
Vlado
you made my day Vlado ![]()
Hah!
That should be, “Vlado, you made my year!” ![]()
This forum is going to be a buss when people finally get hold of 1.5!
anybody got DR (or network rendering with strips) working yet with 1.5?

Did you check the manual on the CD for info on how to set up v-ray on the render slaves? Basically they need to be able to connect to the license server (although they do not need a license).
Best regards,
Vlado
yes - I think I have it setup, but I’ve obviously missed something. (well done at the demo the other day by the way - very impressive stuff)
The vray dialog box tells me that each of the slaves has loaded the scene and that they are starting to render, but their buckets don’t appear. At completion, I have warnings for wach of the slaves telling me they are not responding.
In the instructions, I am told that each of the slaves should launch “vraydummy.max”, but mine launch “vraydummy60.max” as with my older version of vray that I have upgraded from.
hang on - just found something else I need to try…

You need to set up the render slaves so that they can see the v-ray license server.

Vlado
