Vray 3.2 Update -> invalid License

Vray 3.2 Update → invalid License

Hi Guys,

Installing the Vray 3.2 Update, it causes an invalid License (-197) Error.

as soon as i reinstall 3.1, that error is gone and i have absolutly no problems.

Usb Port for the Dongle has been already switched and the firewall has been turned off.
Still not functioning ;/

Any suggestions?

Make sure the V-Ray license server is running.

Best regards,
Vlado

Hi vlado,

its still not working.

Updated has been preformed under “Run as Administrator” und turned off firewall.
License server is running properly. =/

Any other ideas?

Are you able to successfully open the license server status web page (http://localhost:30304)?

Best regards,
Vlado

Is it possible that you reported your dongle as lost?

Best regards,
Vlado

I thought that time i lost it since i was waiting 4 weeks for it.
I moved from Germany to Canada. It came finally via mail.
Since then i had no problems. Apperently as long as i was using 3.1 hehe

Is this maybe the isssue?

Edit: Just saw the answer from the Support Team they sent me back then.
I will write them that it arrived and try to get my dongle off the Blacklist!

Thanks vlado for the effort and sorry for the misunderstanding!!

Best Regards,
Thomas

Hi vlado…

I have a similar problem.
The dongle is disconnected from the USB port. This did not happen to me before the update 03/20/02
All services run in the workstation but apparently the dongle is deactivated sporadically. and gives errors (eg -98)
I have to power down the server WibuKey, remove the USB dongle. Then do the process in reverse.

after doing this works again until the next render. Sometimes it stays on sometimes not.

try updating the wibu key drivers from the wibu key site.

hummm thx.

I’ll try it now.
