Hey,
What kind of feedback are you expecting from us? Is there a special channel to go through (forum, email)?
I did a couple of renders and encountered a few problems. But I m very pleased overall! Very good update.

Hello, Sebastien,
Thank you for reporting this! I will log the bug right away.
If you happen to come across any others or would like to share any suggestions with us, feel free to write here or send an email at support@chaosgroup.com

Hey Peter,
Thanks for your answer. I guess I should continue the list here.
I ve noticed that the reflection Glossiness and refraction glossiness are impossible to disconnect.
In the previous version of Vray there was the possibility to put a texture in small definition, and then render it invisible (by adding a white color in the opacity slot) in order to reveal the full resolution version of the texture. The sketchup file would not increase size too much. This trick doesnt work anymore. But it was really handy as I m working with 10mb textures.
This method is still supported. Open your advanced material panel (right side) and R-Click> Add New Layer> Diffuse. Arrange it so that it sits as the top layer and proceed as you would in 2.0 to create the low-res texture. If is is not working, its a bug, and I would like to look into it further but I have not had an issue with this work flow yet.
Feed back here is just fine!
This will be fixed in the next version. Quite annoying indeed.
This should also be fixed in the next release.
You´re right. It works fine, my bad. I used a VrayBrdf layer and not just a diffuse layer.
You can also use a BRDF layer to do the same thing, you just need to add the color to the Opacity texture slot and it will work the same way.
I also noticed that the 2 point perspective doesnt react when you pan or zoom the camera. It just renders the initial view.
It s also quite tricky to save renders from the frame buffer. It s impossible to choose the correct folder and the file extension. You can save the beauty pass in .exr, but not the other passes.
I cant find the distributed rendering option. But I guess you ll implement that later. (By the way, the new license server is way more visually appealing and easy to use than before. I appreciated that)
I really appreciated the bump render pass in order to create materials. It would be nice to have it back.
And, this would mean the world to me: would it be possible to have a way to edit the curves of textures like the outout rollout in 3ds max? This would speed up my workflow tremendously.
We won’t have that ability immediately, but it will be something we are actively exploring and researching was to implement this.
I’m not sure what you are referring to exactly? Could you be a bit more specific? We never had a render channel pass in 2.0 specific to the material Bump.
Its on the way with a huge update and it will be in the final release!
This has been fixed and will be updated in the next released beta.

Great news. I look forward to the next beta release then!
I ve got another question. In the color mapping, Should I switch on “Linear Workflow” or not in this version of vray? I ve read somewhere that you re not suppose to switch it on vray 3.4 for 3ds max. Is it the same for sketchup?
I also noticed that materials lose their material ID color when you close / relaunch sketchup.
This is something I have been trying to track down. What exactly are the steps to reproduce this? Its literally just a close, and open and the ID’s are gone? Or is there more too it than that?
Thanks for the feedback!
