VRay LightSelect problem

Yeah, thats right. I will do it this way, thanks.

andy51: can you show me some of your works where you use this Dabarti tool please?

The Debarti Light Assistant, is basically the Vray Light Assistant, but with more control. So a scene that uses it, won’t look any different to one that doesn’t. Only benefit to it, is the speed of setting up lights, since it’s all from the one dialog

So just download a copy and install it, it is free but you can donate if you feel inclined to do so, then create a simple scene and have a play around with it. Have fun, that’s the important thing (apart from getting paid of course).

Oh, ok, thanks a lot for answer.

Is there a chance to make it work with IM as primary also?

It is in the "to do"list. But I can’t provide a time frame for its fix.

Great! Thanks for fast reply

Now that VRay and Corona are married, will there be any improvements in this matter (Lightmixer etc.) for VRay?

We do have plans for a light mixer although I can’t say when it will go into builds yet. Right now we are rewriting the VFB so that we can implement stuff like this more easily.

Best regards,
Vlado

Great, thank you for a fast answer

Hello, me again
Have you resolved the issue in VRay Next? I mean, does it work with IM also?
Btw, great event at Total Chaos, looking forward to the next one

Hello.
I’ve faced this limitation today in vray next and it was giving me a couple of headaches to figure out what was the cause of the discrepancy between irrmap and bruteforce lightselects.
It’s been more than 1 year since the report of the problem in this post…
I’m thinking the fix of this problem is bigger that it could seem, isnt it?
