Does anybody know if it is possible to rent a VRay Licence instead of purchase out right?
Thanks but this is only for permanent licencing i think… we would only want to rent one for like a month and wondered if it would be better value for us instead of purchasing out right.

Remember, you can only rent in packs of 10. At least the last time I looked.
Yes : 10 licenses minimum if you rent monthly and 5 lic. minimum if you rent yearly. Clearly not targeted to indies or small teams 
This is partly because right now it’s a lot of hassle and we don’t have the technical ability to handle a lot of rental requests. I’m sure things will change though…

how do you handle it? give people a time limited login to a license server at chaos? or can you do expiring licenses for the wibu key…?
Right now, we normally we just add expiring licenses to the dongle. We do have an online license server, but that’s still experimental and we haven’t made it officially available. The requirement for uninterrupted internet connection is still scary for a lot of people and it’s also scary for us because we need to ensure the license server is online and responsive 24/7. However we’ve pretty much figured out a workaround for this, so it will be improved soon (without the need to modify the dongle either).
