VRay USD export for 3dsmax

Hello, how do I go about adding vray functions in my USD export dialog, such as materials and vray data etc? I am using max 2022 update 3 with USD export plugin version: 0.4.0.2282 and vray version: vray 6 update 1.

I saw that this is possible but I am not sure what I need to do to get this working as I have vray 6 update 1 installed but I do not see these options in my USD export dialog.

Quoting the docs: "V-Ray supports the official beta USD for 3ds Max 0.3.0, which is available for 3ds Max 2022 and 2023." I presume its a version thing. Try again with 0.3.0 and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks, I uninstalled and installed 0.3.0 and this worked. Is there any roadmap for upgrading to the more recent versions of the usd exporter in max?

Turns out we’ve already released stable builds that support 0.4.0.2282. Note that Autodesk has changed the UI. To work with V-Ray you must choose so from the Plug-in Configuration dropdown (at the top).
