VRayMtlConverter v2.5 - intermediate version

Hi all!

I apologize for a delay of the new version of the VRayMtlConverter (v3.0). This delay occurs for the objective reasons. That it was to wait easier to you - I give the intermediate version of the converter (v2.5) which you can download here. This intermediate version supports all versions of V-Ray (including 1.50.00 Final SP2) and 3dsmax 7-11(2009).

hi i just tested it with an old max tutorial-scene, nothng special, standartmaterials and a multisubobject material..

he tells me:

unknown property: “diffuseMapEnable” in background:Standard

after pressing ok,

the script stoped..

do i do something wrong.

befor i had version 2.0 on my max9 program and i didnd deinstall it.

the 2.5, i installed into the max9 root.

Attach here, please, this scene - I shall check it.
I tested on many scenes and with different materials - all works perfectly.

ps: The previous version is not obligatory deinstall, as it occurs automatically at installation of the new version. But just in case try deinstall it all and again install version 2.5

Looks like it’s working really nice so far. I haven’t tested it in production yet, but I did try a bunch of different test scenarios. Tried it in max 8 and 2008. Thanks for this!

Yes. In this version, as well as in the previous version, it is possible converting vray-materials back to standard materials (see button VRayMtl - ---> Standard).
