Will it be possible to render BRDF data other than that provided by Chaos Group?

With this material, no. However we’ve coded a few shaders that read other BRDF descriptions and they generally work fine. They are so specific though, that it didn’t really make sense to include them with V-Ray. If you have any wishes in that regard, let us know and we’ll see what can be done.
