V-Ray supports ACEScg and sRGB only. lin_rec709 should work as it means sRGB. Is that a custom .ocio config? Does it happen with the Maya-included one?
Hi Hermit!
Thanks for the help!!
Those are my configs, with the config of rendering space from Maya preferences it still keep giving me the same error. Yeah its a custom ocio!
If you wanna try is this config: GitHub - chrisbrejon/DAS-UBER-OCIO-Config · GitHub
It doesnt happen with the standard maya config.ocio even when i change it to lin_p3!
But once i change to scene linear/rec709 it works and the error disappears, I’m just confused because when he is taking the rendering color space From Maya Preferences, he is giving me the error of lin_rec709, but when i change the Rendering Color Space from vray to sceneLinear/Rec709 it works.
Do you have an idea of why it isn’t work when i select From Maya Preferences?
I guess it has to do with the .config file itself (From Maya Preferences, which means it takes the value from the “Rendering color space” chosen in Maya’s Color Management options). Based on a simple comparison, there is a difference in how both the custom and default .config are written. I’m no expert on config creation, but maybe the custom config is using a non-standard way, which V-Ray doesn’t recognize.
