Im trying to create a white, semi-transparant foil on glass. Therefore i made a white. single face in sketchup, then decreased its transparency. However, when looking at this in Enscape, the white face turns rather blackisch.. As soon as the transparency decreases from 100 to 99%, the face becomes black. Is there anyone who can help me with this? Thanks!
I have exactly the same problem. It started with update to 2.8 - before I could control color of the transparent element; now it turns black no matter which color do I choose.
Hi guys! there is no way you can get the desired result with the method you’re trying, at the moment. Although, from a sketchUp user point of view is fair and square correct.
I struggled with the same thing in another thread and other pals helped me out suggesting to use a mask texture. You can simulate thin cloth by assigning a plain color to your SketchUp material, then look for a cloth mask texture (black and white) on the internet and apply it as a transparency mask, controlling its UVmapping with the “explicit texture transformation” checkbox. It usually needs to be quite little.
