yeah right, thats what it looks like when I use DR to render the image. Youll notice the lack of 2d motion blur. Which DR apparently doesn't support. About the same time too.

          MAX 5 scene

Sorry but we don't have MAX5 licence available. Is there any way how to export vray materials to older MAX version ? We can supply R4 format scene with objects saved through 3DS file format, but materials will be ruined.

You can download 30 days evaluation trial of MAX R6 from Discreet for free and run this test if you don't have R6 installed yet.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your numbers, we are still waiting for more Opteron benchmarks, especially for comparison between WinXP32 and WinXP64.

This scene is also good check for DR related Vray errors. Non functional Motionblur and missing SSS is clearly visible.

          cheers

            i'm not sure of that

1.46.12 looks realy buggy in this kind of scene
            not only 2d motion blur
but sub surface scattering is not present in final rendering and image is a lot overbright time is realy long for dr

i ve just finished two architectural project without problem exepted memory and don't want to switch to the last upgrade but when i see diff between 1.46.12 and 1.46.13-15
i think that's upgrade must be ''the way''

at least now your admitting your using DR. while its nice to see how quick it can be, its not really a good benchmark when your using DR. How about you rerender with just 1 machine and then repost.

i'm always using dr for single frame
I'm thinking that it can be interesting to know what can be the real improvement to use dr

and for that reason dr must be here in a comparaison for people who asked what is the best investment

in the first post what was strange is the long rendering time 2.52 in 1.46.12 1:15 in 1.46.14 and
that all the image was overbright and that sub surface scattering disepear in final rendering

rendering in one node was about 5:30

                          same think in 1.46.12
no problem in 1.46.14 no dr
i think that 1.46.14 has corected a bug that was in 1.46.12 and 1.46.13
best way upgrade to the latest update
