OOhh man.......... I' felt so stupid ...the reason i don't see any shadow behind is because my camera is right "in front" of the flash light....I've waste few hours finaly reallize just now...

here's the result when i shift the camera to the left abit

I tested Metroberlins idea of the small light source as well. I added the camera sphereical lens also. I think this technique would make for one great spooky animation? Picture a walk through an old abandoned building, or sewer system...etc with only a flash light/camcorder light. Then some glowing eyes off in the distance, etc..

Anyway, here's the test renders (low quality because I only let the PPT run for about 4 minutes)

          Original render:

And a photoshopped version of the render above to give it a night vision feel:

I'm sorry simonreeves...but, i don't think that these images are better than the Maxwell ones (flash style) ....good renderings depend of a lot variables....with Maxwell is pretty easy to get good images without too many controls..I also love Vray but I'm not a fan (Maxwell either)

thought I would give the technique a try with a project Ive just started on at work.

The funny thing is about "bad photograhy" is the lighting make the scenes look more realistic. They look like a digital camera photo.
