A few test images from my playing with this cool plug-in. I've had a lot of fun throwing together materials and seeing what they produced, thanks Dieter!

        Condensation?

        Meteor?

        Sponge

        1st Grade Clay Ashtray?

This one surprised me, pretty cool

        ?

        Icecream maybe?

          Those are pretty sweet.
Care to let us know what maps you used to get those renders?

I was afraid someone would ask that

I'm not at home atm but I will see what I can do later.

                Hi,

@Rerender: Those are really cool. Did you use Dark Tree Textures for them?

I am deep into theory right now and working through various papers. I hope I will get the RAM issue solved.

                Best Regards,
                Dieter

Yep, they are all based on darktree maps. Except maybe the yellow one which I think was just a regular noise.

I am afraid I was not very scientific in my testing, DaForce. I went back through my files and I guess I just loaded new materials over the old ones whithout saving.

I know the icecream on was
and the meteor was a darktree coral, but the others I am not sure of.

                        its currently a beta plugin

MSN addresses are not for newbies or warez users to contact the pros and bug them with
stupid questions the forum can answer.

                            Hi again,

I had very good holidays with my family and even some time to work on the plugin a little more. I was in contact with Ben Houston and Christopher Batty who both worked on implicit surfaces for Frantic Films. They do amazing things with them. For example morphs etc. I started a thread in the frantic forum:

                            http://support.franticfilms.com/wb/d...read=44&fid=12

They gave me some tips on how to do a better conversion from Polygons to levelset. Now here are the first results.

                            And an animation: http://www.dimo3d.info/boxes.wmv

You might remember that the last version couldn't handle complex objects. Now look at this guy:

(For those who don't know him. That's the happy buddha from the stanford scanning repository and he has more than a million polygons.) Here's an animation with an animated texture:
                            http://www.dimo3d.info/animated.mov
There are still some annoying bugs that I have to hunt down before I can send this version around to the testers. So be patient. Perhaps I can get the timing right, and it will be available when 1.5 comes out.

                            Best regards,

                            Dieter

                                awesome news.

Is it less memory intensive now?
