hi Guys... has anybody from this scene a Result with a 680 GTX? ... I am guessing 580 gtx is slightly slower and makes in every other disziplines (working with Max or Maya) no sense

    thanks! =)

Odd; can you get me a scene for this?

    296.10 works fine actually.
I was testing an old scene which had one VrayLightMaterial (which normally works) however this had falloff assigned to it. I guess VrayRT doesn't like Lightmaterials with falloffs.

It's a pity that it's so hard to find a new GTX 470 nowadays. Buying 2 would seam like the best choice taking into account price/performance ratio.

Does Graphic card memory make a difference? 1Gb vs 1.5GB vs 3GB?

Well, performance-wise there isn't much of a difference - in fact, for us OpenCL tends to be a little faster than CUDA on the same hardware for V-Ray RT GPU. So from that point of view, it wasn't a mistake. On the other hand, it certainly was much more difficult to develop for OpenCL than it would have been for CUDA and we could have implemented the same features much faster. In any, case, see the snapshot below
