                Athlon XP 1700@2400 - 1GB RAM, vray 1.09.03m
                - nattys settings = 3m 5,7sec
                - out of the box = 27min

only one problem - I have darker colors (I just opened the file and hit F9)
and I dunno why...... the difference is noticeable... ANY IDEAS?? - maybe it is a difference between vray versions...

What about the exposure settings, maybe they didn't save from the original file? Just a guess ...

                    it's not the exposure settings:
coz settings are: linear multiply, 1.3, 0.88, NO affect background
and that hardly looks like default settings, so they were saved...
                    but nice try... thanks

                      Silkcut
it might be your Gamma Settings.

I checked it out.... and that's not it...
                        but again... nice try.... thanks

p.s. I have to inrease dark multiplier to 2,5 to get the image in "good" colors... I guess that I have to get used to that...

                              hello!!!

i had the same problem here...

on my dual p3 1000 mhz the picture was as dark as yours...

the same file on an amd-duron looked brighter, like the other shown files here.

but if i used DR with my INTEL-p3 and the AMD-duron, the file looked also bright...

i wasn't able to find the problem either....

                              so long

I've had similar problems like that too (particularly with the lampshades in the general topic.) And everyone else renders the same scene just fine. At first I thought I was mesing things up. Can't quite understand it.

One thing that I've found is that I've had to adjust the exposure settings in order to get it looking decent. I wonder if it's a vray bug...
