    Here's my new project,

the theets I done earlier were for her ( and my other characters after..)

Here a little teaser just before going to bed... working on the eyes I'm still thinking if I'm going to Zbrush the iris once I'm fix with the iris textures.. I tested many, brown, green, etc 'Im not fixed yet so I'll wait for it.

not finish so far.. need to have eyelash displacement connection to the skin, little facial fur etc etc but it's coming along nicely.. everything is painted by hand and sculpted in Zbrush, the neck for now is not done by hand, not sure if I will do it by hand or not yet.. anyway.. my new workflow is much better.. Craig can go home now haha

I wanted to do the diffuse in 16k.. but my 16 gig of ram are not enought.. was getting too heavy and slow.. so im limited by the hardware for now.. next eyar ill ognna by a brand new pc 64 gigs of RAM.. and a bigger SSD drive for the C drive.. now only 120 gig always full... anyway more to come soon.

I noticed the sclera's sss is blending perfectly with the skin's SSS. Are you using VRay with the new raytrace single pass mode? If so how did you get it to blend with each other?

Also the detail you have captured on the skin is astounding, how did you get such a high level of detail? Did you subdivide like crazy or use a bump map? On an engine like Arnold you could use the option to use bump from the displacement once you run out of subdivs but VRay doesn't have such an option as far as I know.

Anyhow terrific job and I can't wait to see more!

Hey thank's all for the kind comments

Joconnell :Hey thank's man It's a lot of observation, and then you try to translate it into 3d, find ways to make it work in 3d, not often straight foward haha, I had to do quite a lot of test shaders and work around to find solution to get what I wanted.. but since Vray has a lot of tools, the more the better.. since we can use them in many ways that we would not think that could be used for this of that..etc.

BBB3 : Hey I'm glad to get a comment from yo, your render are amzing ^^

Emcs07 : I'm using the normal sss2, I had to do some hack to get that result lol. Not straight out of the boz result haha. For now, I'm using displacement map from Zbrush to get the skin details, and I also have a procedural bump really small to get some micro breakdown of the reflection.. but later I will try to add the displace in the bump too, I may get even more details It will do the same thing as in Arnold ... Vray has the 2d displace.. wich is AWESOME.. Arnold don't have it has for as I know .. so it's why it need a tricky bump like that haha.. but for sure bump is faster then displace.. but to me, when doing close, nothing can beat displace

I could post the whole face, no hairs yet.. but I want to retweak a bit more the displacement map in zbrush, some little things that I feel would look more natural once tweaked tomorrow or in 2 days I will post more.. so for now just other sneak peak

here 's a small render with the facial added, first pass, not final ,but it's adding a lot like planned. It was much harder then I though to get a shader for that that look close to the real thing.. it may look simple and easy to do.. but I found was not.. I spend many hours just on that shader doing test render etc..

So here's a little preview , could not render bigger too slow now.. thoise little hairs are slow as hell to render.. and by the way I upgraded the fresnel reflection a lot on the skin shader, so should look better
