I do think rendering on a black background and using the layer > matting > remove black matte works almost perfectly.

I've tried that, but it didn't work, or I didn't really understand.

Almost funny how many different variations we all come up with to do often the same thing. There should be a forum called Best Practices or something that only discussed workflows and the best way of doing things.

What do you select in PS before you go to layer > matting > remove black matte

              I'm sure

I just mean there are so many areas that could use a framework, smartest way to do camera matching, composite 3d on back plates, etc...

I do it all with hotkeys but here's the simplest way of explainging:

Take your alpha pass and apply it to a layer mask on your RGB pass.
                Rasterize the layer
Layer > matting > remove black matte.

It's not perfect but it's so close to being perfect it works (for a 5000px render in my case).

Alpha element or the Alpha channel? I'm sending one to Rebus, which is 10k, and I didn't set up an alpha element. And, my VRAY dome is invisible, so I'll need to do this.

Ah ok. In vray 3 you can set your dome to invisible and set it to not affect the alpha channel so you get a proper alpha via the default rendered alpha channel. Much easier.

The architect liked it and so did the owner, but the owner didn't want to show the cars and person.

It seems to me that the mood of the lighting (low yellowish sun) doesn't match the blue sky very well. It's like something is off. And I can't put my finger on it either but could it be that the size of your brick is too big? It makes the building appear out of scale.
                        A.

I think the brick is correct; the building just has a very strange scale. The sky is the HDRI, but the yellow is way boosted, per the architects request.
