I get the same result like cocolas...!
I've tested around with the units and when you open the scene and adopt the units from it, it changes your settings completely!

      ??

Just wondering if anyone got the scene to render out correctly/bright?
I tried it and it was dark, all lights were on and reset the irr map,

          Nice scene Matt

just whent through the file and the lights are set to 0.0 for the diffuse multiplier. = dark render
turn it to 1 and everything is fine.

Hiya guys, this is what i got after playing a bit with the photons, i think it has sharper shadows and its not so aggresive in the light openings, you can still look at the detail on them....
Also i feel that the light needed a little turn down on the yellow side, but i didnt touched the blue skylight. Ill try and post some scene with materials if i got time!! Cya .......

              Best Regards.

                    hi triar

hey, great light in the scene... did you change anything in the scene from zero one?

                    thanks in advance

I've noticed the diffuse multiplier of 0.0 but I thought it is right.

AA has no effect on a photon cal'c ...

                          to the maxxer

                          2 themaxxer

I think the last solutions from triar has only a gamma output in max with a value about 1.3/1.8 applied because the colors are desaturate and the image aspect when gamma output is applied is this

                          Maybe I'm wrong

i change settings in matt scenes very cool, 1. rescale World scale in max 6 & decrease sbd - tweak VRlights& sbd in propertis rollout

I really like your lighting solution.....if you could post the scene, that would be great.

thanks for the scene, triar, as well

for those who have dark solution with my file...it's due to units system i think

here is a generic units version :
                                http://membres.lycos.fr/xxmattxx/vray/int-gen-units.max

tell me if you have the same result:
