I think in our own attempts to achieve realism, we all bring our own style and that's what seperates renders apart.

Well...in the end, what matters most is that our clients are impressed enough to award us the project. so beautiful images are important....

Yeah, but your renders are different from everyone elses, even if they look 'photoreal.' If they didn't, and there was a magical setup to photorealistic renders, then no one would pay out the arse for this kind of stuff, they'd just award projects to the lowest number.

What i wanted to say is, almost all of these arch renders are done for some clients, if a client wants a photorealistic render, of a scene in which he chose furniture, textures, objects and all there isnt much for you to do other than to imagine how it would look like in real life. Which means, it can either be a dayshot or a nightshot, it can be sunny or cloudy outside, but you cant alter the way photons and energy are being distributed in that space. The only available place that i see for some "signature" is playing with contrast/exposure. I mean if someone asks you to make "real" there is only one solution to that problem, only one way a render can look, but if someone asks you just to do the job, the way you do it and the way you know how, then there is much room for improvisation and signatures.
