Geez man! I'm am right in the middle of putting together one of those systems! Thats awesome. Are you using the stock fans & heatsinks or something different? I decided to go with these silent coolers, thanks to a tip from somebody on cgarchitect. I heard the xeons make a LOT of noise when on full load.

Those particular ones fit the Asus PC-DL board, but I'm sure there are others similar.

              Hi Mark ..

The back wall is backed glass and the image outside was quickly thrown on this morning ...so not so hot ..i agree ..

                as always good job

I like it very much especially the white walls with the correct bleeding apport and the shadow density

I would like to see the floor with more than 1 for the blur in bitmap parameters to get a kind of fillet on the bumped grid

                could u explain the settings?

                congratulations

                bye

yeah the floor could do with a little chamfer ... but in reality the edges of the stone tiles are pretty sharp...

here's some screen grabs of the setting's.

Good job man. I'm still working on mine, which also uses a back painted glass wall.

Do you find that checking 'smooth surface shadows' makes a difference? I thought in the current manual they said that that option doesn't work so well yet.

I really like the rendering, but the windows (trees and frosted glas part with too soft edge) and the painting (looks aquarel/waterpaint instead of canvas or oil paint with more bump since it is a canvas ) ruin the image a bit...

natty why did you store the irradiance map with the vray lights on the windows, but not the ones on the ceilings? Does this make a diffrence. Thanks Gadzooks.

                          BTW nice image.

sorry i forgot to put the third vray light's setting's aswell.. the lights with the store with Irr map ticked is just to get light into the scene.. the other's are used to pick up detail.

                                Great render Natty.

The one thing that strikes me as odd, is that for a reception you would assume there would be some sort of door back there.....but there is a distinct lack of doors

i guess thats just the design right?
