HAHA, doing great, busy as usual, especially with the baby growing like crazy but yea based on the tests so far one 1080 ti is no good really unless you plan to waite forever for renderings to clear, well it helps since its a little faster, we ordered 4 for our office, will see how they run, i ordered two for myself but wont be here until next month, by the way what was the price you got it for? i ordered the palit edition which is the cheapest but i have no problems with palits so far

I am sure you all saw the Titan Xp, which is 2X the cost of the 1080ti. The Titan Xp and 1080ti seem to have the same specs; why would one purchase the Titan Xp?

got my 1080ti today, but won't install for a bit (can't take the system offline) the card is huge though!

I read some comparisons and the Titan Xp is faster, but is it 2X faster? It's twice the price.

I'm about to purchase a GTX 1080 ti. Would you recommend a card with a reference design over the ones with custom designed cooling? I see that people prefer reference design cards for rendering. From what I understand this is because if you use more than 1 non-reference design card for rendering, the hot air will heat up the whole inside of your PC case instead of it being directly blown out the case like the reference design cards would, am I right? I currently have 1 x GTX 980 in the system (check signature). A bit slow for my liking for rendering with RT (but still quite fast compared to my CPU in certain cases). Are these reference cards too noisy? The card will go into is my workstation which is just below my desk.

What you do you think about ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11gb Founders Edition? It's the cheapest one I could find. I can get one here for €765/$830. Is it a good choice?

Yes, thats correct, reference designs are better for rendering because of they pull the hot air out of the machine and this is important when you have multiple GPUs next to each other.
We have 4 x 1080ti build in the office. They are not loud, but I can definetely tell when they are under full load. This does not intercept the working process, at least for us .
Also, all reference GPUs are made by NVIDIA, so Asus in this case is just a reseller (all choices there are equally good, pick the cheapest one).
