hey DaForce, Im sure you wont be disapointed, in a couple quick tests my new X2 (specs below) are beating my dual xeon 2.8

        just built:

        1x Enermax 535w PSU

So far Ive only had it running for a couple days but Im verry impressed with it so far.

Wow Dave. Impressive! Only one card on the Dual SLI for now? Very nice rig - I see you even threw in a few raptors just for kicks...

                Syclone1:
Yeah im just being held up by shortages in Australia. Should be next week now. So im kinda chaffing at the bit. I just want it now.
Its going to be a MEGA upgrade from my current Athlon 2700 hahaha

                Enjoy your new rig

p.s. I too am curious why you didnt get more RAM, and by choosing 512mb sticks your limiting yourself to a total of 2GB. When i get my new ram for my machine i will be getting 2x 1GB sticks to start.

the 1gig came dow to a price issue, where the vid card was about $780 and that took up the extra I had for ram as I had inteded to buy a 6800 ultra that was about $100 less. But couldnt resist the temptaton on getting the first card to ship in our province :P

hehehe i cant complain to much im using my old 400mhz corsair for awhile until i can find some high speed 1gb sticks in a few weeks. All the high speed stuff usually comes in 512's

Have you played any games on that beast yet? Im hankering to try Battlefield 2 at 1600x1200 with 4x AA and 8xAF

Ive only played Guild Wars and a little UT2004 and both rock on this card. I cranked all the settings in UT till it actually said "Holy S***" lol and still got anywhere from 200+ FPS in it. Im only running at 1280x1024 though cause of the dual 19" LCDs but I did try Guild Wars spanning across both monitors and that was real sweet except for my character being split in the middle

I have yet to try Chaos Theory, HL2 and Farcry but between work, family and Guild Wars my time is limited these days

Im real keen to see the new AA methods used on the wire fences in Halflife2, should be pure eye candy

hehehe doh. Ahh well best of luck with the speedy delivery. A main problem with online stores around here, is most of them dont openly advertise how much stock they have of each item, only after you place the order do they email you back and say "sorry but blah blah blah 2 week wait"

                                FFS

Ahh well, atleast i have my mobo and video card boxes to sniff ... LOL
mmmm fresh computer hardware smell....ooo i feel faint
