Pity they both dont fit. They wouldnt fit on my board either.. im going to have enough trouble fitting just one.

Yeah I think I have decided to hold off until 4x4 system are available... so for now I will just have 2 PC's with 8800GTX cards

My sentiments exactly Matthew.

I'm curious if you could test out to see if theres any performance increase in Max with the dual setup. In previous versions, I heard SLI only worked with Max using Quadros (even that I'm not sure of.)

Btw - what did you order - ASUS, eVGA, BFG, or other?

But as fate would have it apparently they were not quick enough in processing my order and even tho they said they would put on aside for me, they tell me this morning they are out of stock.
You would think dropping over $1k on a video card would make people move a little quicker!!

But its on back order now and should be in by this time next week.

Its like the whole X2 fiasco all over again.
Now we just need to wait for EVERYONE to get a 8800GTX then I should be able to get mine

I will be pulling the moboo out of its case this weekend "hopefully" to see what kind of numbers I can get with my system... I already know form other reports I am going to be CPU bound so we will see

4x4 info should be out tomorrow as rumour has it. My only issue is that I don't know if you'll be able to install more than 4 gigs of RAM. (one source and some pictures I saw.) From what I've also read, it's basically a dual Opteron board without the RAM ECC restrictions.

Like I said I can only fit one card in my current setup. the Board is a ASUS P5B Deluxe.. I can physically fit 2 cards on the board, but not in my current case. The hard drive removable bay is in the way along with the placement of the SATA connections… If I take the MOBO out I might be able to get both cards mounted for testing. But I have decided to hold off until I can buy my 4x4 setup. I might wait a few days for the reviews to flow out to see if it make sense for that route…

My xfx 8800GTX is coming in stock on wednesday will be shipped out on Thursday. Will try to run the benchmarks tonight so I have something to compare with.

Now I just have to re-arrange all the bays at the front of my computer to fit the sucker
I knew having 9 HDD's and over 2TB of diskspace would one day cause me a little trouble.
Good thing i can shift around everything in the front of my case easily enough. Even the power button and floppy drive
