      Hey,

Sorry, totally missed the last post. The problem was when rendering a grid texture, reading the RGB channel with Maya Batch.

It should be fixed in the nightly build from today. So you can grab one and test it. Here is how to get it - https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...nightly-builds

      Cheers!

Ah yes, when using the RGB as a mask it's best to use black and white colors for the RGB colors in the sources so you can get a proper blending.
In the case you want to blend three materials you will have to swithc the RGB colors for each sources so you should have 1 pure red, 1 pure green and 1 pure blue.
Then you will have to connect the red channel output of the Grid texture to be used as a mask for the first material, the green for the second and the blue for the third. I have attached a screenshot and a sample scene of how this works.

As for the RGB diffusion option in Maya, this is in the Liquid rollout of the simulator as Maya still uses one simulator node for both Liquids and Smoke/Fire.

You can get the scene from here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QwX...ew?usp=sharing

Hi Georgi , I have a new issue re connecting the RGB from the FD texture to the blend material,
just so ive got the methods down, I have starterd to rebuild the scene as pracrice

I've found that if the simulator is not specified in the FD Texture material before trying to connect the R out color to the RGB of the Blend amount then Maya crashes.

If I connect the RED from FDTex to RED Blend Amount no problem , RED from FDTex to BLUE Blend Amount no problem but when I try to attach RED from FDTex to GREEN Blend Amount then Maya freezes up and crashes.. please see attached

              kind regards

                Hey,

Could you try if the crashes are reproducible with the latest V-Ray 5 Stable - https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/main#/corwin/stable/stable_5.0/20201030

                Thank You!
