Are there any plans to make make a build where objects with the fast SSS material can be excluded from lights?

What is stopping you from excluding them now through the light's include/exclude dialog?

You had to click the "Show map" button for the individual maps; the button was greyed out for VRayMtl itself. However, seeing as how this crashes in max9, there is obviously more work to it.

You can tell a light to exclude the object but when you render the image it doesn't work.

i think you need to remove the word "immediate" from the topic since too many people are currently downloading. i cant even get the "save as" window to pop up when clicking on a link. its been a couple minutes now since i clicked the link. you might want to put a smoke detector next to your web server machine

Yep, the builds were already on the site when we discovered this, and we were in a rush to get the max 9 builds out so there wasnt' time to go back and fix it. I hope that a patch for this will be available very soon.

Licensening

I have a license server (which has a license for 2 copies of VRay) running on one of our servers. When I install it on there, will it give me a new request code that I need to send in? Since I don't have the dongle, do I need to copy in that .dll file as well?

You don't have to re-install the license server. You don't need to copy any .dll files anywhere. The only thing to remember is to choose the software license type when installing on the workstations.
