to activate denoising I have to add only render element ?
If you want to denoise in Max, then yes. You can choose if the denoised result should replace the RGB or be stored as a separate render element. By default it's the second so that you can play with the denoiser settings after a render.
I furred the bed cover, and animated a different camera, quicker: a much harder job.
Later i'll add the raws too, but the settings for rendering were left identical to the other you already saw.
Is there a way how to implement vray flare effects to the denoise version? Denoise version dont have them and I think there is no way how to make it in post without too much work.
Hm, good point, I think I missed that case. Will work on it, but I think the only certain way right now is to load the denoised image in the VFB afterwards and apply the lens effects separately.
A few more denoising tests (on scenes from the SP3 release).
All renders are 1-24, 0.1 (REALLY quick: 50 seconds to 2:30).
Bottles and night-time city have been RGB-Only denoised (to get around the current difficulties with refractive objects) at default strength and radius, the rest was per-element (which generally requires a much higher strength to perform well, i used 5.0 for Strength).
What can be taken away from these images is this, that i can tell:
a) The denoiser does NOT change the image character: that's visible in the color/levels measurements on the renders (left-hand side), hardly changing one bit between raw and denoised, without odd clamping or rebound artifacts.
b) The detail preservation is nothing short of stunning, to the point it's able to reconstruct detail where none was visible (simple example, the interior's lamp shade, but the same goes for most of the fine details across all images.), particularly in the per-element mode.
@Lele
Those tests are nothing short of insane. There are some "jagged lines" inside the denoised bottle render I maybe would not expect in a higher quality render, but given the really rough base of what the denoiser had to work with this is just nuts.
The shadow and reflection details that made it through in the interior image are damn impressive as well.
Doing some renders where i am using the bloom and glare effects, also using the denoiser element but adjusting bloom and glare in the color rgb doesnt seem to change it for the denoiser rgb or its not the same, is there some option that i am missing?

o really? i must have missed that, will there ever be an option to watch it in real time like with the rgb i can do it in post for now like in the 4 posts up i guess

Yes, we need to port it for the GPU, like the denoiser, then it can be made real-time.
