    kpavlov:
DFI make great motherboards good choice.

    Da_elf:
yeah its gonna be running at 50% total performance, but this is just to rule out the cpu as the problem.

Well I have disabled one core but now I get even more exceptions and I cant render even one rendering now.
So what do I do next, except kill myselve becouse I would like to try few more things before that.

I would run memtest86 on your bow to check the ram, almost sounds like either you have a bad stick or your timings could be off. If you run the test make sure to disable ecc in the options and late it run a couple times through and if there is even a single error then there lies one of the problems at least. Also if you have more than 1 stick and it errors then take all but one out and run the test on individual sticks to see if only 1 may be bad.

and do alot of praying that it comes down to a ram problem. hehe. thats usually the easiest thing to fix.

              once again...

Do you have the same crashes when rendering the scene with the 3dsMAX-scanline renderer ?
(I know it will render differently, but for now that doesn't matter)

This way you can isolate VRay from the hardware related issues...

I have just instaled amd x2 driver and after 8 hours of rendering I didnt get any exceptions, but I will say I dont have any problems after 24 hours, Its too early now.
If that doesnt help than I will try rendering scanline.
                Thanks guys on your help.

Sorry I am so late on this one....

Kpavlov - that is a Network problem.
Shut down all your network gear and restart.
How many machines are you running?

Everyone else - x2 smokes xeon all day long. Sorry for those of you who haven't figured this out yet.

We've just got 9 of 'em up and running in our farm and they do leave our Dual Xeons for dust. Far quieter as well.
                          Kind Regards,
