        Procedural, for example, are impossible to predict and understand, so I went back to basic bitmap.
        it looks promising.
        Honestly, they can be pretty frustrating to control but with practice you begin to understand a few underlying values needed to produce certain results, then its just a matter of narrowing down.
        (With this example I already had a procedural creating that wood grain like texture)

                Is there an error in the model you are using for rendering your materials?
                In the red powder coated material it looks like there is some dark triangles at the top

                        I'd probably use displacement with that example on top of the shader.

                              I'll be taking the same simplified approach with the materials as I did with modeling.

                              Ive just finished the base coat to my "Black metal" shader seen on guns and scifi equipment out of District 9.
                              Once again, a simple looking shader that has taken months of refinement in the values to get looking right in different lighting conditions.

                                The measurements on the floor grid are accurate so the ball has a radius of about 25cm (Or a large chrome HDR Ball)
