  • We aren't running 2017 at the moment, is it safe to say if you have VRay you might as well stick with TriPlanarTex?

    • Hi,

Talking about latest max2017 update, can we safely presume VRay is fully compatible with the new Data Channel modifier (or is it the other way around :P) ? still on max2016 here though, but I'd rather ask.

      Thanks.

        • vray fully working with 2017.1

Edit: but I have not tested with new .1 feature...
With this update, 3ds max still create dump file on exit, without reason

          • No problems here. I crash maybe once a day, but that's okay with me. I started off crashing hourly, then several times a day, so it is almost perfect for me.

            • There are still 2 bugs I'd like to see fixed but the new EXT is pretty awesome. We have a file internally where a lightsaber is stretching based on movement with data channels and it's pretty impressive. I'll be trying to put together a demo package of usage cases in the coming weeks and post it on the area.

                        • It seem that there isn't issues for WIN10 users, just the WIN7 folks. And it seems that it is wide spread.
