Can anyone verify what their 2018 "About Max" shows after update? My "About Max" shows

    Product Version:
    2018Update
    20.0 - 20.1.0.1452

AutoDesk site has 2018.1 Update available but about Max uses somewhat different nomenclature (shown above)

It appears that I may have the most current update but it's somewhat unclear and so I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, this is logged and listed as critical. Very annoying issue and the devs are already addressing it.

      OPEN_RANGE -
The initial release of 2018 was 20.0.0.966 and Update 1 is 20.0 - 20.1.0.1452. So I can confirm you do have Update1 installed currently.

      Best Regards,

Is anyone else having issues with Max/Vray hanging around for a while on render end?

Why the hell is the update to 2018.1 taking 45mins to install? It hangs at "gathering required information" for 40 minutes. Seriously, **** *** ADSK.

              Alright,
next journey in this big pile of crap they call Max 2018. I can't render via backburner. The job gets sent to the client, Max opens and crashes immidiately. The error just says "No response".
I guess it is related to the problem I had before, but I have already installed Update 1.

By the way, on the clients with no graphic cards, Max still crashes on startup. Despite Update 1.

                  Crashes, crashes everywhere.
Honestly, back to 2017. Thanks, Autodesk.

Sorry...but just to know... as "no graphic cards" do you mean literally or a recent graphic card?
I have 3 slaves with Matrox G200eV that is something like a simple videocard to switch ON a monitor...I hope 3dsmax 2018 will consider those as graphic cards

No dedicated GPU at all. Just some internal Intel graphics chip. These are purely render slaves, in a rack mount housing from Chenbro.

Tried all graphics modes, including Nitrous Software. No matter what I choose, it crashes. Also disabled welcome screen.

Does anyone have problems resizing the d@mn Scene Explorer window/panel in 2018? I can't seem to do it. I have update 2 installed. I can't believe this glaring obvious problem can make it into the finished final product, not to mention after TWO updates.

It can't be worse than 2017, oh yeah I forgot, it is Autodesk. 2017 crashes on me 2-3 times a day and that is a lot better than when I first started using it. I am content with 2-3 crashes a day, which tells you how bad things have gotten. I am afraid to move to 2018; I don't want to start over.

                                Hi Bobby
From our experience 2018 is a lot more stable than 2017. I would recommend updating
