There were some crash issues in the initial release, however Updates 1 & 2 seemed to address those problems. Unfortunately update 2 introduced an annoying camera selection bug, but it is still far better than 2017 IMO

I noticed the camera selection problem yesterday, thought it was just a glitch, but I can't seem to select cameras in the viewport. Other than that I've no problems with 2018 now that SP2 is out.

Yes, you can't select cameras with the mouse. At all. You need to do it in the scene explorer.

Unbelievable !!! This is unacceptable, a basic function that is broken ...?
This is the whole story of 3d max updates ... bugs fixed, but new ones created

Doesn't have this bug... We deployed max 2018.2 in production and no such problem of course.

I do have the problem and it is annoying. But my Max expectations are so low that I'm basically happy it doesn't crash every two minutes like 2017 did...

Just ran it on mine and you can create select cameras fine. Something wrong with the scene maybe ? maybe strip the scene down to just cameras and post it for a test ?

I think PU1 should be better.
Also.. it is a little hard to pin point the corner since now the background color is very similar with Scene Explorer outline.
This whole Qt5 transition will take some time to iron out..
