I have a scene that was working fine, but now I can't stop renderings. I have been hitting the STOP VFB button for about 10 minutes and it will not stop. I have been having to kill MAX.

I got sidetracked and came back to kill MAX, but V-Ray did stop by them. So, it looks like I need to be a little more patient than 10 minutes (being sarcastic)Bobby Parker

I think it's been that way always.... its only at the beginnig of LC calculation, when it looks 'stuck'. Its normal for LC I think when the scene is very heavy.

It's strange, you can still click on and change values in the VFB, you can press stop or cancel but nothing happens. It's just stuck on building light cache. It's as if there lies some hidden error pop up window, that's waiting for you to acknowledge the render didn't start or finish because of an error.

It might be good to test one of this scenes here. this way we will be able to find where and why it is freezing. Can you send us a file that reproduces this behavior to support@chaosgroup.com ? Is that V-Ray Next ?
As I mentioned it happens sporadically from file to file, hard to pin point and replicate. Stuck behind NDA too. Not much I can do to help I'm afraid

It is my slave slowing things up. I hear my slave run for 15 minutes after every rendering is completed. After waiting 10 minutes for my V-Ray to stop, I switch over to my slave, kill it, and my main workstation stops instantly.Bobby Parker
