  • Stuck Buckets

It's been a long time since I had this issue. I have an image that is stuck on 1/2 dozen buckets. Nothing special about the scene and the buckets are not sitting on anything out of the ordinary. I am going on 27 minutes now, with things stuck.

I ended up killing it after no movement for 1/2 hour. I tried clamping and sub-pixel, but no good. I am using a V-Ray Sun, HDRI, Physical Camera, Forest Pack Pro, and Rail Clone. The stuck buckets were on the asphalt and the cars.

I am not sure. Visable is default, so I am assuming it is visable. If things muck up again I'll check. I am trying again, with my original setting because nothing I tried made a difference. The place that got stuck on each try is no longer stuck, so I'll let this one run. I'll report back.

Okay, it looks to be doing the same thing. This was due 4 hours ago. Don't make me pull out Corona!

Really, what do I do? The sun was visible, but now it isn't and it is still getting stuck in a very random way.

Those 4 buckets, under the Honda logo, are consistanly stuck. Althought the scene isn't done, the random buckets you see in the field, will not move. I'll let it bake for awhile, but seriously, this is insane. New client, first project...sucks!

Have you done a vray scene convert?
                Show me your settings?
Or send me a scene? I have time to look now.

just curious what are your settings dmc wise? Are you using light cache for gi? Here are some quick suggestions.

Lower dmc to something low and see if it still hangs, if it does -
Turn off lc and switch to bf/bf
                  turn off mb
turn off gi if all else fails

                      Try turning off reflective caustics.
What does your sample rate pass look like?

Here is the model, however, it's not with textures or proxies. Also, on a note, motion blur and depth of field is on.

Nothing fancy with sample rate. I'll try turning off and changing things you have suggested.

Turning off reflection caustics got me past those 4 consistanly bad buckets. I'll let this run for a while.

Bobby also turn on your "override depth" in global switches.
That should speed things up a fair bit
