Vray for Blender status?

Blender 4 has a current release date of November this year. I wouldnt be surprised if any Vray news updates happen after this point.

I haven't checked the Blender for Vray nightlies repository for a long time but did they actually take it down completely? Or is it just being buried somewhere deep? They are still selling the product on their website, am I missing something?

You intrigued me and checked the official website and actually they're selling it and I'd like to check the manual and my eyes fallen on the Actvities stream and I've seen that they're still updating the manuale with text corrections and posting new images. It's nice they're still updating the manual while they're still selling it...but it's not so clear how the development is going on...it seems they're still believeing on it but....no news...nothing..it's a bit hard to plan what to do as soon as we haven't any kind of news.

No... in any folders... also for the 2017 ones.

Actually what you buy shouldn't be a nightly build.
I think that they'll give you another link to the stable one. Otherwise seems more a like a fraud but I can't imagine that Chaos will risk something like this...

I bought a perpetual license back in 2019. IIRC there was no other link to the Blender build other than the nightlies. It's stated in the help files and on the official Vray for Blender webpage. Link below.

I haven't used it since Blender 2.8 came out but had to reopen an old file.

I've been lied by their customer support before so it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled something like this.

They sent me the nightly builds link when I bought the license. I Haven't asked recently.

I noticed there is another thread from February with the same issue on this forum so I won't bother with customer support.

Anyway, I only needed it to import some models and redo shaders but I can get them other ways.

I wonder if Blenders 4.0 API addition to allow other renderers to be integrated as USD Hydra render delegates will make it easier for VRay to finally be added cause I remember a year or so ago one of the last information we got was that blender basically needs a custom built for VRay to work. So VRay would only support LTS versions.
