    Hey Vlado,

    Sounds good, but I'm having a hard time confining the fog to an area!

    So what is the proper shading network to use when you want to assign an environment fog to a piece of geo (like a cube or a sphere as a bounding volume) for the fog effect? And when you do it this way, do you need to plug anything into the environment fog slot in the v-ray for maya render globals?

      You can use the standard Maya way, and assign a volume material to the geometry. Or you can use global environment fog and assign meshes to it (it's a set).

            arghhh.... Couldnt get it to work..
            Had to untick cast/recieve/primary visibilty on the meshs shape node.

              yes, you need to untick those in order to see the EnvironmentFog effect

                Hello, nice scene bazuka!
                I was wondering how to achieve a texture to the fog material, to make it more "cloud like". I have been plugging in 2D/3D textures to the density but to no effect.
                Any ideas (without having to use fluids/containers)?
