    Just tried the dworkin build dated 03 May and the cut off issue is still present.

      What's the build number, please? You can either copy it from the first lines of Maya's output window or run this MEL line: vray build;
      Here's what we have on the server today:
      27383 from May 3 is the stable build (which doesn't have the fix).
      27382 from May 3 is the nightly ("unstable") build (which has the fix).

        Thanks for the info.

        I'm using // Result: 27383

        I've asked for the nightlies.

        Cheers

              Is there a way to use the circular grad for opacity (to blend out reflection), but not have this grad in the alpha or the matteShadow passes?

                I don't think that's possible to render in one pass.

                  That's a bummer.

                  To blend out the reflection correctly, the grad in our scene also blends out the edge of the shadows a little too much.

                    Just wondering what workflow you would recommend, in order to have both the circular grad and full shadow?

                      Just following up on this. How would you go about rendering out the full shadow, as caught by the shadow catcher, minus radial mask?

                      Cheers

                        Would it be best to create a separate render layer for the shadow?

                          That should work, yes.
