Note that the beta licenses expire on July 14th, if anyone has troubles getting their new license before then, please contact us on the forum for a short extension to the Beta license.
Greetings,
Vladimir Nedev
Any chance for a short beta license extension? I have troubles getting my order completed by a Polish reseller. Could have problems finalizing it until tomrrow.

When combining HairCurve and VRayHairMtl, may I think that the latest VRay Hair optimization is applied?
Can VRayMODO do dynamic tessellation applying of Fur/Hair? (Like VRayOrnatrixMod)
For tomorrow's nightly build ( 2016.07.28 ), the "adaptive tessellation" option will affect hair generated by MODO's Fur material on the mesh with the V-Ray Geometry Properties.
Left image without adaptive tessellation, right with.
I've also added the "min pixel width" option. It makes the hair thicker and reduces its opacity to compensate (this works only with the V-Ray hair material).
It can be used on very thin hair to help the Image sampler in anti-aliasing.
Values around 0.3 should be used, as higher values will make the hair too transparent to compensate the increased size, most likely increasing render time too much.
Left is with "min pixel width"=0, render time is 5 s.
Right is with "min pixel width"=0.3, render time is 8.3 s.
Both use an image sampler with min subdivs = 1, max subdivs = 4.
